Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
    • Identify and target potential clients in international markets for software development projects.
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
    • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to secure deals.
  2. Market Research & Strategy:
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
    • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets.
  3. Proposal Development & Upwork Bidding:
    • Draft and submit compelling proposals on platforms like Upwork and other freelancing sites.
    • Regularly monitor Upwork and other platforms for relevant project opportunities.
    • Maintain an impressive profile on Upwork and manage client communications effectively.
  4. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with technical teams to understand project requirements and translate them into business proposals.
    • Ensure clear and concise communication between clients and internal teams.
  5. Sales Pipeline Management:
    • Maintain and update the sales pipeline to track leads, opportunities, and conversion rates.
    • Ensure timely and professional follow-ups with prospects.

Key Requirements

  1. Experience & Skills:
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience in business development in the software outsourcing industry.
    • Proven experience in bidding on platforms like Upwork is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and ability to articulate client requirements effectively.
  2. Technical Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with software technologies (e.g., web and mobile development) to communicate with clients confidently.
    • Basic understanding of SaaS, custom software, and Agile project management is a plus.
  3. Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.
    • Self-motivated, result-driven, and able to work independently.
  4. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
